Although IVAO Lebanon’s Events Department is known for fresh ideas and modern innovations, when it’s time to go classical — history is what we’re most proud of. This event is our tribute to that legacy. On 01 January 1946, Middle East Airlines launched its first commercial flight from Beirut to Nicosia aboard a De Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide, possibly OD-ABX. While Nicosia Airport is no longer operational, we’ll honor this historic route virtually between Beirut (OLBA) and Larnaca (LCLK), keeping its spirit alive. Tailored for vintage aircraft fans and aviation heritage lovers, this nostalgic event invites you to step back in time and take to the skies. Expect ATC coverage and a classic atmosphere. Let’s make history fly again! Giveaway: One lucky participant will win “Douglas DC-3: A Legends of Flight Illustrated History” — a beautifully illustrated tribute to the golden age of prop aviation.
Make sure to read your relevant briefing before the event! This will help to ensure that all participants are able to enjoy the event.
