Event Details
Minsk-1 Airport opened on November 7, 1933, and achieved international status in 1955. However, in May 2007, a decision was made to close the airport to make way for a new urban development. By December 2015, all commercial flights had ceased, and Minsk-1 officially closed its doors. While the airport's real-world lights have gone dark forever, it lives on in IVAO. Every flight we take out of Minsk-1 is a tribute to its history.
