"Here's looking at you, kid." Few cities have a film as iconic as Casablanca attached to their name, even if most of the 1942 classic was actually shot on a Warner Bros. backlot in California. Still, the name stuck in people's imagination, and the real Casablanca has built its own identity since then: Morocco's biggest city, its economic capital, and home to Mohammed V International (GMMN), the busiest airport in the Maghreb. For this first edition of the Casablanca RFE, we want to put the real city on the map for the network. It's a proper hub: long-haul widebodies mixing with regional turboprops and a constant churn of domestic hops, all funneling through one busy terminal. If you've never flown into Morocco before, this is a good way to get a feel for it, different procedures, different rhythm, and an airspace that doesn't usually get much traffic on IVAO. We'll have full ATC coverage on approach, tower and ground to handle the bump in traffic, and pilots of any experience level are welcome. Since this is the first time we're running it, turnout and feedback will help decide whether it becomes a regular fixture on the MA calendar. Come fly into the White City and help us get this one off the ground.
Make sure to read your relevant briefing before the event! This will help to ensure that all participants are able to enjoy the event.
