These few words became a symbol of unity, friendship, and solidarity between Syria and Egypt. The Egyptian people celebrated this moment deeply, and just two years later, the bond grew even stronger when both nations became one country under the United Arab Republic (1958 – 1961). Today, decades later, we commemorate this brotherhood of the skies with an exciting Airbridge between Damascus Intl. (OSDI) and Cairo Intl. (HECA). This event is not just about flying… it’s about remembering history, celebrating friendship, and connecting pilots and controllers together across borders. ?✨
