Podgorica Airport also known as Golubovci Airport, is the main international airport serving Montenegro and its capital city, Podgorica. Located approximately 11 kilometres (7 miles) south of the city centre, near the town of Golubovci, the airport is an important gateway to Montenegro and its stunning Adriatic coast. It is operated by Airports of Montenegro and serves as a base for Air Montenegro, the country's national airline. Podgorica Airport is particularly busy during the summer season, welcoming visitors travelling to Montenegro's famous coastal destinations, historic towns and spectacular mountain landscapes.
